Connex Credit Union Offering $5,000 in Scholarships to College Students

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. College is a highly rewarding experience for those with the opportunity to attend. However, it can also be an expensive time for these scholars. The high cost of tuition, books and living expenses can rapidly deplete the funds of even the most frugal college students. Connex Credit Union is now accepting applications for its annual college scholarship program for college-bound or currently enrolled students looking to cut into the sizeable costs of higher education.
Connex is offering three different scholarships, and those who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- A 3.2 GPA or higher
- Are able to provide a copy of a current transcript
- Are a current Connex member, or join upon applying
- Complete and submit the online application and essay
- Submit the application and transcript by March 31, 2016
- The $1,000 Nicolas G. Hackett Memorial Scholarship
- The $2,000 John R. Edwards Community Involvement Scholarship (for students demonstrating a commitment toward community service)
- The $2,000 Arthur B. Haesche Memorial Scholarship (specifically for business students)
