WSACT FundraiserLOWELL Jeanne DArc Credit Union employees, business partners, members and supporters gathered together to attend the Credit Unions annual We Share A Common Thread Foundation Fundraiser last Saturday at Lenzis, raising over $43,000 to support the Foundations mission. The We Share a Common Thread Foundation was established in 2011 to help the Credit Union provide monetary support to numerous charities and organizations who are dedicated to helping people in the community. Over 325 attendees of all ages danced, played a survivor-themed game and took chances on basket raffles, silent auction items and an Apple Watch Giveaway, all to support the Foundation whose funds are distributed to local non-profit organizations. "Jeanne DArc Credit Union considers social responsibility to be an integral part of our overall mission," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "Our We Share A Common Thread Foundation helps us further extend a helping hand to our neighbors in need. We couldnt be happier with how the fundraiser went on Saturday night, and we greatly appreciate the support we are shown year after year," he added. Funds raised from this event will be distributed in March to non-profit organizations who enhance the lives of people in our local neighborhoods by providing assistance with food, shelter, clothing, health and education. Please visit WeShareACommonThread.org for a full list of recipients.
