Town & Country Credit Union Supports Kay's Place
February 23, 2016
Minot, ND - The staff at Town & Country Credit Union recently heard about the girls at Kay's Place, and wanted to find a way to make them feel a little more comfortable when they arrive to the home. Kay's Place is a licensed group home that provides a safe and secure setting for girls 12-19 years of age who are in need of residential services. The home-like setting provides supervision, care and structure to adolescent girls who are in crisis.
When girls come to Kay's Place they often bring what few belongings they own in a garbage bag. Credit Union employees donated $779 to purchase duffle bags and personal care items for the estimated 18 girls that will be transitioning into the facility throughout 2016.
"The generosity of our staff never ceases to amaze me," commented Darrell Olson, President / CEO of Town & Country Credit Union. "They are always willing to help those in need, whether it is helping a member with their financial needs or providing support to a local organization."
Each of the bright duffle bags were carefully packed with the following items:
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Disposable Razors
- Deodorant
- Body Wash & Loofah
- Lip Balm
- Bath Towel
- Cotton Swabs
- Toothbrush & Toothpaste (Donated by Souris Valley Dental)
- Mouthwash & Floss (Donated by Souris Valley Dental)
