LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA Pelican State Credit Union loves its branch communities! To help show its love, the credit union gave away free chips and drinks at a locally-owned restaurant to over 150 customers during lunch! Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on January 26, 2016, customers who dined in and ordered a sandwich at Darrells on W. College Drive in Lake Charles, Louisiana, each received free chips and a drink with their order.
Each customer who dined in during the Darrells Takeover also received a coupon to redeem at Pelican for a free blue and gold Fleur-de-lis T-shirt and a chance to win a $50 Darrells gift card!
"The Darrells Takeover is one of many ways that we give back to our communities and encourage residents to bank and shop local," said Jackie Decareaux, Branch Manager of Pelicans Lake Charles branch.
Across the state of Louisiana, Pelican has given away over $20,000 in cash and prizes to the communities it serves.
Pelicans Lake Charles branch is located at 2231 Oak Park Blvd. and has been an active part of the community for over five years. The Lake Charles branch is open from 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday Friday. Credit union members can benefit from free one-on-one credit counseling, a variety of convenient products and services, such as an interest bearing free checking account, and several opportunities to participate in giveaways and win cash and prizes throughout the year.
