Peach State FCU Creates Scholarship to Honor Board Member

CaptureLAWRENCEVILLE, GA Peach State FCU has created a $2,500 scholarship to honor Board Member and Supervisory Committee Chairperson, Rick Cost, for his contributions to the Gwinnett County school system.� Cost retired as the Chief Financial Officer at Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) in December 2015. The scholarship will be awarded to a GCPS graduating senior pursuing a degree in education. Cost has volunteered with Peach State since 2006 when he served on the Supervisory Committee.� He became Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and joined the Board of Directors in 2012. Cost has more than 33 years of varied financial experience in both the public and private sectors. He was named the Georgia Association of School Business Officials Outstanding School Business Official in November 2015, his professions highest honor. "We are proud to honor Ricks career-long dedication to education and his commitment to Peach State with this scholarship," said Peach State President/CEO, Marshall Boutwell. Scholarship applications can be downloaded from Peach States website at www.peachstatefcu.org. All scholarship winners will be chosen by the end of April 2016 and announced shortly thereafter.
