Two Diamond Credit Union Teams Give Back to Local Families this Christmas
The Service Center Supports Military Families and the Lending Team Adopts a Family through the Salvation Army.
Pottstown, PA - In place of their annual gift exchange, two Diamond teams decided they would rather make the holidays brighter for local families and men and women in the military.
Diamond CUs Service Team, made up of the Service Call Center, Member Service Support, and Deposit Operations came together for local military families. At the recommendation of Dorothy Carney, employees enthusiastically volunteered to buy toys for Operation Home Front and bake hundreds of cookies to be sent to our military men and women who are deployed over the holidays.
Diamond CUs Lending Team turned to the Salvation Army for the opportunity to Adopt-A-Family. Together the team was able to purchase and wrap all of the items on the familys wish list and some extras.
"What fantastic ideas," said John Faust, President/CEO of Diamond Credit Union when he heard about the programs, "Way to go Service and Lending Teams. Its great to see our employees taking an extra initiative to spread the spirit of younity."
Service Center toy donations were picked up by a volunteer from Operation Home Front who plans to distribute the toys in the Reading, Pa. area. The cookies will be shipped by the Keystone Military Families organization to two separate units of service men and women.
What do you call it when employees value giving hope over receiving gifts? Thats younity.
