Town & Country Credit Union Donates $50,000 to Local Arena

TCCU check presentation at Tauros GameMinot, ND - Town & Country Credit Union has committed to donating $50,000 to the MAYSA Arena expansion.� Darrell Olson, President and CEO of Town & Country Credit Union, presented Ron Merritt, Executive Director of the Minot Park District, with a check at the Wednesday, December 30th Minotauros hockey game, which was also sponsored by the credit union. "Town & Country Credit Union has a strong history of supporting the community of Minot. I am proud that we are continuing to build on that history with this donation to the MAYSA Arena expansion," commented Olson. The MAYSA Arena was opened in 2000 and currently has two sheets of ice, with the main rink able to accommodate about 1,000 spectators. The new rink will include seating for 2,000. Construction began this fall on the third rink addition. "The MAYSA Arena already provides many benefits to our community and with those benefits come opportunities. Adding a third ice rink will provide additional opportunities for our youth, area businesses and will ultimately contribute to this regions quality of life, all areas of value to Town & Country," added Olson.
