Utilities Employees Credit Union Supports Angel Tree Program

ANGEL TREE PICUtilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) Has Supported the Salvation Armys Angel Tree Program for Over 20 Years. Employees donated gifts for 27 children and 32 Veterans for the 2015 holiday season. Phil Wylezik, Credit Union employee and Air Force Veteran, has volunteered for 19 years so that children and Veterans in Berks County could have something special for Christmas. Wyomissing, PA - UECU, a Credit Union, headquartered in Wyomissing, PA has supported the Salvation Armys Angel Tree program in Berks County for over 20 years. In partnership with Met-Ed, FirstEnergy, the Credit Union has collected gifts for those in need for the 2015 holiday season. UECU employees sponsored a total of 27 children and 32 Veterans. Pat Zyma, President/CEO, said "As a financial cooperative we believe in giving back, especially to those less fortunate in our community. Our dedicated employees have supported the program for a long time, making it possible for many children and Veterans to have something special for Christmas." Phil Wylezik, a UECU employee and U.S. Air Force Veteran, has spearheaded the Credit Unions involvement in the Angel Tree program for 19 years. Christina Ulrich, UECU employee, coordinated the collection of gifts for 2015.�� Recipients of the Angel Tree gifts have applied for assistance through the Social Services program of the Salvation Army.� Special needs items like clothes and blankets, as well as toys for children, are purchased by participants, wrapped and returned to the Salvation Army.
