Georgia United Credit Union Grants 1,288 Holiday Wishes for Local Foster Children

Duluth, GA (December 16, 2015) Georgia United Credit Union held its 26th annual Wish Tree Program to collect new toys and clothing for foster children through local Departments of Family & Childrens Services and similar organizations during December. Georgia United invited interested individuals, schools, and civic groups to participate by dropping off a new toy or article of clothing at one of Georgia Uniteds 18 branch locations by December 14 so deliveries could be made prior to Christmas. Special thanks go to those who contributed a record 1,288 items (from iPods to bicycles) this year to donate to foster children in our communities. The Christmas Wish Tree Program is one of Georgia Uniteds longest-running community service projects and one of its most successful with 16,288 gifts donated to multiple county DFCS offices and local charities during the programs tenure.
