Diamond Credit Union Spreads Christmas Cheer in Community
December 17, 2015
The Diamond CU Team is always looking for new ways to help the local community. This year the branches held two major food drives, a toy drive, raised money for the American Cancer Society and Boyertown MultiService, and then put on ugly sweaters for various causes!
In Wyomissing, the team hosted an Angel Tree for the Childrens Home of Reading and provided gifts for 25 local children. They also collected over 144 pounds of food and personal care items for the Greater Berks Food Bank. In Pottstown, the team lead a Salvation Army food drive with help from the Exeter and Boyertown Branches. In Boyertown, the team decorated a tree for the Boyertown MultiService Annual Festival of Trees fundraiser. At the Reading Health System Branch, the team continues to sell Reading Coffee Roasters coffee as a fabulous gift and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life. At any Branch, you can also purchase a Bark For Life Calendar in support of the ACS.
If that wasnt enough, employees were asked to bring out their ugliest Christmas sweater and submit team photos in support of the 13 charities that are participating in Diamonds Shoot For CommYOUNITY challenge at the Reading Royals. One charity organization will win a $250 donation and a runner up will receive $100. Visit us at facebook.com/DiamondCU to vote for your favorite photo today!
