This is the fourth consecutive year that the credit union has sent these matched funds to the Childrens Miracle Network and that four-year total now stands at $105,000. The Corvallis-based credit unions staff dedicated $24,000 out of their own pockets to show their support for the credit union industry with the knowledge that they were also making great things possible through leaderships commitment for a dollar-for-dollar match to the national Credit Union for Kids program. The 210-member team pledged the record amount to the Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC) and Oregon State Credit Union sent the match to benefit the Credit Unions for Kids/Childrens Miracle Network programs at Doernbecher Childrens Hospital in Portland and Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. In addition, the credit union was granted a match of $10,000 for the third time in the last four years from one of their business partners. CO-OP Financial Services, out of Rancho Cucamonga, California, repeated the grant out of their CO-OP Miracle Match program, which is dedicated to efforts for the Childrens Miracle Network. CO-OP Financial Services and Oregon State Credit Union matches have now combined to exceed $100,000 for last four years. Oregon State Credit Union CEO Richard Hein said, "The Credit Unions for Kids effort actually started in the state of Oregon and spread nationwide. Our team has found a way to invest in the credit unions future and at the same time contribute to the future of kids. I couldnt be more proud of their generosity." "This was so great to see and help make possible through the CO-OP Miracle Match program. In the last year, we have been able to team with credit unions nationally to contribute $3.1 million to 110 Childrens Miracle Network hospitals. We are proud partners with Oregon State Credit Union," said Nina Kopp, National Sales Manager for CO-OP Shared Branching, Oregon State Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, open to anyone who lives or works in 24 western and central Oregon counties.
