C for L Voke 2015 2FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS - Ten St. Annes Credit Union employees participated in their first Credit for Life Fair of this school year on Wednesday, December 2nd at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. Credit for Life Fairs teach Junior class students the basics of budgeting and managing credit through a fun, interactive exercise. Students are assigned incomes and credit scores, dictated by their grades and attendance, and then have to create a monthly budget by visiting different booths at the fair that pertain to the various aspects of life, such as housing, transportation, groceries, and insurance to name just a few. St. Annes employees act as "credit counselors" during these fairs and are available to provide the students with advice and guidance regarding their budgeting and spending decisions. Every year St. Annes participates in multiple Credit for Life Fairs at local High Schools and the Credit Unions employees are looking forward to doing so again during this school year.
