Pierre, SD - Oahe Federal Credit Union got some local accolades recently, when they took first place in the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights.� As if that wasnt enough recognition, Oahe President, Dawn Van Ash, also attended the Chambers Christmas Party, where Oahe FCU received the Member of the Year Award.� This year, the credit union celebrated their 60
th anniversary with 60 random acts of kindness, including donations to local schools for playground equipment, which apparently made an impact on the Chamber.� Van Ash said, "I was in complete shock, as I didn't know we were nominated for this award."
Besides receiving the Member of the Year Award, the credit union was also nominated for the Hospitality Award for excellent customer service.� "It was a great night" said Van Ash, "even the Mayor congratulated us!� How cool is that?"
