CaptureSan Dimas, CA - Christian Community Credit Union staff, along with family and friends, raised $1,241 for the Colon Cancer Coalitions "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Team "CCCU Runs for Terri" was named in honor of Terri Pagett, a longtime Credit Union employee who passed away in June 2015 after a long battle with colon cancer. The funds will go toward colon cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment efforts in Orange County, CA. "Our hope was to honor Terris legacy by helping to make a difference for the thousands of families affected by colon cancer," said Charlie Allen, AVP of Member Experience, who organized the team. "Terri will not be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts." Terris husband, Pastor Joel Pagett of Reliance Community Church in Upland, CA, was greatly encouraged by the teams efforts. "Words will never be found to share the strength and support Christian Community Credit Union has provided for our family and especially for me during this journey," Pagett said. "Terri instilled a powerful hope in each of us that keeps us pressing forward, and this event honored her immensely."
