The non-profit provides valuable support, education, and resources to individuals and families associated with autism, Aspergers, or a Pervasive Development Disorder in the Black Hills. BHFCU employees cooked up a huge smorgasbord of entrees, appetizers and desserts for the occasion. "It was inspiring to see our employees rally behind this great cause; providing not only the food, but also a tremendous donation out of their own pockets," said Connie Price, chair of the Autism Society of the Black Hills CAT Project. "Our donation will help so many individuals, and families, adjust to their new world and succeed to the best of their abilities." BHFCUs employees also donated $500 to the Childrens Home Society of South Dakota for their Gingerbread House Project last month. The project provides supplies for children to create their very own gingerbread house and enjoy a holiday party. The Childrens Home Society provides emergency shelter, residential treatment and education, foster care and more for children and families throughout South Dakota. In November, BHFCU employees will participate in a drive to collect coats for kids at our Hot Springs Member Service Center. Employees will also compete in a bake-off to benefit Youth and Family Services - Girls Incorporated of Rapid City, and volunteer for a Black Hills Habitat for Humanity project.
