United Federal Credit Union Hosting Hero Appreciation Week
November 9, 2015
JOSEPH, Mich. While many banks and credit unions will close on Veterans Day, United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) not only will be open, it hopes to be even busier than usual!
UFCU is hosting "Hero Appreciation Week" at all of its branches in six states from Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13. Veterans, police officers, firefighters, teachers, doctors, nurses and first responders are invited to visit a branch during regular business hours to enjoy refreshments and receive a small gift. On Veterans Day Wednesday, November 11 members and the general public will have the opportunity to sign one of the giant "thank you" cards at each branch that will be sent to troops overseas.
"As we go about our lives, its easy to forget to say thank you," said President/CEO Gary Easterling. "Its important to take the time to express gratitude both to the veterans who have bravely put their lives on the line for our country, and to the other heroes among us who put their effort into helping others every day."
Each day will focus on a different group of heroes, although individuals belonging to any of the groups are invited to visit whenever its convenient.
