Peach State FCU Donates $1,000 to Local Ministry
October 29, 2015
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA Peach State has donated $1,000 of the proceeds from their annual charity golf tournament to the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry. The annual event raised more than $14,000 and proceeds benefitted 11 charities in the Northeast Georgia area.
"Donations like this help families pay their utility bills, provide hotel rooms for homeless families, and help many individuals pay for their prescription medication," said Linda Freund, Director of the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry Food Bank.
"Each year, the chapter must choose from hundreds of organizations and strive to reach those who are most in need. The good work that the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry does is priceless to the community. We are happy to support an organization that works so hard to support the members of our community," said Laura Ryll, Board Member for the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions and Peach State Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.
