October 29, 2015
TUCSON, Ariz. Vantage West Credit Union, southern Arizonas largest credit union, is congratulating its Senior Sales Coach, Chad Clayton, for being honored with the Mountain West Credit Union Associations HOPE Award. The award, which stands for "Helping Our People Everyday," is given annually to credit union industry professionals who are nominated by peers for practicing the credit union philosophy and demonstrating exceptional member service.
Clayton, nominated by a three-person team of Vantage West supervisors, served as a team leader in developing and launching a financial readiness program for children at one Boys and Girls Club in Tucson. The four-session program saw significant attendance and ultimately graduated 11 inquisitive students. Due to Claytons dedication and the inaugural success of the program, the Boys and Girls Club has asked Clayton and Vantage West to facilitate the program across all of its six Tucson-area locations.
"Chad absolutely exceeded expectations with his involvement in this outreach program with the Boys and Girls Club," said Robert D. Ramirez, president and CEO of Vantage West. "His initiative and commitment to member service demonstrates a key part of our Vantage West philosophy."
As part of the nomination, Claytons supervisors noted their beliefs that the outreach program he developed and administered will positively impact future generations of underserved youth, and that his involvement with the program has furthered the credit union movement.
