Robins Federal Credit Union Holds Free Shred Day for Community

CaptureWarner Robins, GA Central Georgia residents recently shredded 25,250 pounds, or 12.6 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Federal Credit Unions popular Shred Day events. Four Shred Day events were held at Robins Federal Credit Unions Log Cabin Drive branch in Macon, West Clinton Street branch in Gray, North Houston Road in Warner Robins and Perry Parkway branch in Perry. Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled. Robins Federal Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with nineteen branches in central Georgia. Robins Federal currently provides financial services to over 164,000 members, with assets exceeding $2.0 billion. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the 16 counties Robins Federal serves.
