CaptureBurlington, VT Between October 13th and 16th Vermont Federal Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day with its first ever Random Acts of Kindness event. International Credit Union Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The goals of this day are to raise awareness about the great work that credit unions are doing in their communities and around the world, as well as to give members the opportunity to get more involved. This year, International Credit Union Day fell on Thursday, October 15th, but we decided to celebrate all week long.   Throughout the week, staff volunteers went to local establishments within our branch areas to buy coffee, breakfast, or lunch for people, fill up gas tanks, pay for groceries or parking, and bring flower arrangements to assisted living facilities. In the spirit of credit unions, and people helping people, we are glad we could make a difference in the days of some, if even in a small way. For additional information and pictures please visit us on Facebook or at http://www.vermontfederal.org/home/about/news/enewsletters.
