Service Credit Union Supports Military Families

Landstuhl DonationLandstuhl, Germany �Service Credit Union, along with the Armed Forces Financial Network, recently presented a total contribution of $10,000 to help military families with their stay at the Landstuhl Fisher House in Landstuhl, Germany. Of the $10,000 total contribution, the $5,000 donated by Service Credit Union was the result of Service Credit Union being awarded the Air Force Credit Union of the Year 2014.� AFFN matched the $5,000 donation for a total of $10,000. Service Credit Union President/CEO Gordon Simmons and Service Credit Union Vice President of Overseas Operations Philip R. von Streicher presented the donation to Vivian Wilson, Manager of the Landstuhl Fisher House. "Service Credit Union and AFFN are extremely proud to contribute to an organization that so directly impacts the families of our wounded warriors." said Gordon Simmons. The $10,000 donation will go toward daily living expenses of the military while staying at the Fisher House. The contribution consisted of $5,000 from Service Credit Union as well as a $5,000 matching donation from the Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN). Service Credit Union has also been a longtime contributor to the Fisher House, making financial contributions through AFFNs matching program.
