Brockett Art Room GrantTucker, GA - �DeKalb County Schools Brockett Elementary received a 2015 Georgia United School Crashers $2,500 Runner-Up art room grant and a box of art supplies this morning. Thanks to 3rd grade teacher Brenda Joyce Hornaday for writing a heart-felt nomination to enter Brockett Elementary in Georgia Uniteds 2nd annual School Crashers makeover program earlier this spring.� Brockett School is located at 1855 Brockett Road in Tucker, has 520 students, and was the fifth runner-up grant recipient school selected from hundreds of entries. Georgia United School Crashers 2015 first place winner Woodward Elementary received won the equivalent of a school improvement sweepstakes when they received the top prize earlier this summer.� Georgia United coordinated 300+ community volunteers and corporate donors to work alongside the DeKalb County School System to complete a long list of school improvement projects for the Title 1 School located at 3034 Curtis Drive in Atlanta. The five runner-up schools each receive their grants and project assistance this fall.� Still to come are Kelley Lake Elementary, Peachtree Elementary, Laurel Ridge Elementary and Cohutta Elementary.
