City & County Credit Union Holds Back to School Supply Drive

2015_1St. Paul, MN City & County Credit Union ushered in the new school year with a Back to School Supply Drive for Merrick Community Services. For two weeks, members and staff joined together and collected 1,573 back to school items, including 147 notebooks, 522 pencils and 116 glue sticks. Supplies collected during the supply drive were used during Merrick Community Services Back to School Bash. During the Bash, school-aged kids living in the East Metro received a free backpack filled with school supplies while parents visited resource tables focusing on health and school readiness. With a mission focused on improving the lives of residents of the East Side of St. Paul, Merrick Community Services provides resources to the community to empower individuals, strengthen families and promote independence. Merrick offers employment services, case management services, emergency assistance and after school and summer youth programs.
