Greater Nevada Credit Union Supports Local School Marching Band
September 23, 2015
Reno, Nev.The North Valleys High School Marching Band has partnered with Greater Nevada Credit Union to raise funds for new instruments. Donations are being accepted at the credit unions Golden Valley branch, located at 1095 North Hills Boulevard in Reno, in the North Hills Shopping Center.
Greater Nevada has also helped the band create new t-shirts designed by the band members. The same t-shirts are worn by the credit unions staff at the Golden Valley branch each game day to show their support.
"I know firsthand how beneficial this partnership can be," said David Coyner, the schools band director and alumni of the University of Nevada Wolf Pack Marching Band. "Greater Nevada has also helped the Wolf Pack Marching Band raise funds for more than three years, and that relationship was key to providing the band with much needed uniforms, instruments, and the ability to grow in size."
Greater Nevadas Golden Valley Branch Manager, Stephanie Arroyo, said that her team enjoys supporting the band program and local high school. "The marching band performed along with the Wolf Pack marching band when we opened the branch this year. It was amazing. We welcome anyone to stop by our branch to help support the cause, and well also be at several games to collect donations as well."
