Team DiamondcPottstown, PA - On Thursday, September 17, seven Diamond employees volunteered for the United Way Day of Caring. Their job for the day was to help the Habitat for Humanity of Berks County by volunteering at the store that builds houses. The ReStore accepts gently used donations of home goods and resells them to help fund home-building projects. Volunteers spent the day cleaning, organizing, unloading donation trucks, and preparing items for sale. "The Day of Caring is a wonderful opportunity for our employees to get out of the office and help the local community in a new capacity. Working at Diamond, we always have opportunities to volunteer for various activities, but the United Way Day of Caring connects us with new organizations and gives us the opportunity to work with volunteers from other organizations. Its simply a great experience," stated Kim Deery, Diamond Credit Union Accounting Associate. The ReStore is a fantastic place to find inexpensive furniture and home goods and support a worthy cause. Please stop by the store at 5370 Allentown Pike, Temple, PA 19560 or check them out online at http://habitatberks.org/restore/. They are always looking for volunteers to help keep the store in shape.
