Bannockburn, IL Cook County residents are invited to come out and enjoy a fun-filled morning at Great Lakes Credit Unions (GLCU) Child Safety Fair on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the GLCU branch located at 18130 Pulaski Road, Country Club Hills, Illinois. "This event is always well attended. Its primary purpose is to educate families about different aspects of child safety, like bicycle safety and stranger danger," says Vikki Kaiser, President/CEO of GLCU. "Parents can also have their children fingerprinted for free by the County Club Hills Police Department and receive a free ID kit provided by Liberty Mutual Insurance."
GLCU staff will also be on hand to offer parents free financial education, while their children enjoy Halloween treats and have their faces decorated by Kayla the face painter. Everyone who attends will receive a goodie bag. Anyone can participate in the thrilling TouchATruck adventure, which provides people with an up-close experience with a fire truck, ambulance and a police squad car! Adults attending will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Odyssey Fun World.
This free event is made possible with participation from community partners, including the Country Club Hills Police and Fire Departments, the Country Club Hills Park District, Van Drunen Ford, and the Grand Prairie Public Library.
