Aberdeen, SD - Aberdeen Federal Credit Union presented the third annual Rising Star Competition on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Brown County Fair. A line up of fifteen talented finalists competed for cash prizes totaling $2,500. Nearly 2,000 spectators were packed into the event to cheer on the finalists as they competed for the top four places.
The 2015 Rising Star placers are as follows:
First place ($1,000): Audrey Wanner
Second place ($750): Rachel Black
Third place ($500): Gabrielle Daly Zimmerman
Fourth place ($250): John Wingo
"Each year we strive to make this a premier family friendly event for our community and showcase some of the regions finest talent. This year was no exception and we couldnt be happier with the involvement and support of the community, Brown County Fair and members of Aberdeen Federal Credit Union," said Abby Kroupa, Business Development Director at Aberdeen Federal Credit Union.
