Virginia Credit Union Donates $5,000 to FeedMore

IMG_2454 - editedRichmond, VA, � Virginia Credit Union presented a check for $5,000 to FeedMore on Wednesday, August 5, to help those in need. The amount is based on an estimate of the number of strike outs anticipated by the end of the Richmond Flying Squirrels regular season and any playoff games to follow. Under the Strike Out Hunger program, VACU is contributing funds and raising attention for FeedMore with every strike out thrown by a Richmond Flying Squirrels pitcher during the 2015 season. FeedMore is Central Virginia's hunger-relief leader made up of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen. Members and employees of Virginia Credit Union are generous supporters of FeedMore at document shredding events, employee food drives, volunteer work days, and other efforts. FeedMore's programs provide hunger relief to the regions most vulnerable populations, particularly children, families and seniors.
