IMG_1056LOWELL Jeanne DArc Credit Union surprised members of the Greater Lowell Boys & Girls Club by conducting a random act of kindness last week during which the youths were able to select a free ice cream treat from Sweet Petes Ice Cream truck. The youths were thrilled with the unexpected snack which arrived after they had participated in a financial education session with members of Jeanne DArc Credit Unions financial education team. During last Thursdays session, more than 100 children learned math, cash-handling, communication, and team-building skills. The financial education team created a mini-carnival with games that helped students work on their ability to collaborate, to increase their self-confidence, and show commitment to their respective teams. The youths then enjoyed a cool snack during a particularly hot summer day. "We were happy to be able to provide a fun surprise for the children, especially after they worked so hard on their math skills during a beautiful summer day," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. Photos: Members of the Greater Lowell Boys & Girls Club select their ice cream treats.
