BHFCU-WAVIDonationRapid City, S.D. Black Hills Federal Credit Union recently contributed $10,000 to Working Against Violence, Inc.s capital campaign. The donation will aid Working Against Violence Inc.s (WAVI) work to provide vital resources to those affected by instances of abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence in Rapid City and the surrounding areas. "The work that WAVI does is an important part of our communitys well-being, which is in line with BHFCUs mission of people helping people," said Roger Heacock, Black Hills Federal Credit Union president and CEO. "This donation is a way to help ensure that WAVI remains a safe and healthy place for families in need, well into the future." BHFCU President Roger Heacock, members of BHFCUs donation committee, and BHFCUs WAVI liaison Laura Lytle, presented the check to WAVI Executive Director Mary Corbine and staff at WAVIs office in downtown Rapid City on Tuesday. Additionally, BHFCU has supported this organization and its efforts through an annual supply drive/fundraiser during sexual assault awareness month in April. This drive has resulted in hundreds of donations from community members for the last 13 years.
