Black Hills Federal Credit Union Donates $1,000 to Soap for Hope

Rapid City, SD - Black Hills Federal Credit Union has donated $1,000 to help to kick-start the Leadership Rapid City Class of 2014s Soap for Hope donation campaign on Thursday. This is the first major donation by a financial institution to the campaign. The campaign aims to provide further access to laundry facilities at the Hope Center for Rapid City residents living in poverty. "The leadership Rapid City Class of 2014 saw a need in the community and is working to solve the problem in a creative and engaging way," said Carol Brown, vice president of marketing and business development at Black Hills Federal Credit Union. "Providing more accessible laundry facilities to those who may be living in poverty is just one step in helping to improve the livelihood of many individuals here in our community, and BHFCU believes in that mission." Black Hills Federal Credit Union President Roger Heacock, BHFCU employee and Leadership Rapid City Liaison Stacey Moulton and other BHFCU executives presented the check to the Leadership Rapid City Class of 2014 and the staff of the Hope Center on Thursday. Black Hills Federal Credit Union is a strong supporter of the Leadership Rapid City program and its projects, as well as the Hope Centers mission to provide crucial services to those living in poverty or who may be homeless.
