CaptureSomerville, MA -Naveo Credit Union collaborated with Artisans Asylum, a non-profit community fabrication center, to host a free Business Financing workshop at Artisans Asylum on Thursday, July 23. The workshop, which featured representatives from Naveo and the US Small Business Administration (SBA), provided local business owners and entrepreneurs with information about starting a business and financing options as well as resources available to them. Naveo saw an opportunity to work with Artisans Asylum to provide its members, many of which are small business owners and entrepreneurs, the best practices in business financing. The workshop also served as a platform for attendees to exchange ideas and insight on how to grow their business. "The workshop became a great forum for discussing steps an aspiring entrepreneur should consider in order to obtain the advice and funding needed to bring a business idea to fruition. We at Naveo are grateful for the attendees and their ideas, and for our partners at the SBA and at the Artisans Asylum. We thrive when our neighbors thrive, and these workshops are one more opportunity for us to partner with local businesses and to add to the economic vitality of Somerville and Cambridge," commented Albert Pinho, Vice President of Lending at Naveo Credit Union. Naveo plans to offer additional workshops in collaboration with Artisans Asylum and other organizations in the future.
