Fargo, ND - The Fargo VA Federal Credit Union held their Annual Fundraising Picnic on July 15, 2015.
Each year, the credit union chooses a worthy charity to benefit from the event, and this years recipient of the funds was HONOR FLIGHT.� An Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war they fought in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the veteran.
Staff and members of the credit unions board of directors volunteered their time to serve at the picnic.� The picnic included hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, pop and a cookie for a donation, all of which went to the HONOR FLIGHT.� At the end of the picnic, the credit union raised $1,518 which will send 2 Veterans on the Flight to Washington.
