Summer Concert 2015FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS, - On Sunday, July 12th, the 21st Annual Heritage State Park Summer Concert was held, sponsored by St. Annes Credit Union in cooperation with WSAR 1480 AM and the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation. Concert goers were able to park for free in a lot that was donated for the day by Borden and Remington and a shuttle brought them back and forth from the concert, making it easier for people to safely park despite all of the construction that is happening in that area of the city. Food, refreshments and snacks were provided by both the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River as well as the Mad House Grill food truck. The Mike Moran Band kicked off the afternoons festivities, warming up the crowd before Night Fever, a Bee Gees cover band, took the stage. They covered many of the Bee Gees greatest hits including "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", "Staying Alive" and "You Should Be Dancing", and brought many of the audience members to their feet to dance in front of the stage. Attendees also enjoyed raffles from St. Annes and WSAR, who gave away a total of 24 prizes during the concert. It was a hot summer day, but the breeze off of Battleship Cove made Heritage State Park the perfect temperature for the large audience to enjoy some great music with their friends and family.
