Central Minnesota Credit Union Establishes Benefit for Kidney Transplant Patient

CaptureA�benefit is planned 3-8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, for the family of 8-year-old Mason Herman of Pierz. Mason was diagnosed with congenital renal dysplasia shortly after birth and his parents were told he would one day need a kidney transplant. Masons aunt Kristy, whom he shares a birthday with and is the godson of, recently became his kidney donor. Mason is the son of Mollie and Chad Herman of Pierz. The benefit will assist the family with Masons ongoing medical expenses, including lifelong anti-rejection medications. The event is set for 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the Brickyard Bar and Banquet Hall, 214 Main St. S., Pierz. Dinner will be served 4-7 p.m. with a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for children. A silent auction will take place with an assortment of items available, including authentic signed Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins items.
