Give a Click Winner My Father's HouseLOWELL, MA Jeanne DArc Credit Union is pleased to announce that the winner of the latest "Give a Click" campaign located on our website WeShareACommonThread.org is My Fathers House, based in Chelmsford. This nonprofits mission is to provide a residential parenting program for homeless pregnant and parenting young women between the ages of 13 and 21 and their children. It provides clients with a safe, healthy, and stable living environment and equips clients with the tools they need to care for themselves and their children. Jeanne DArc Credit Union understands the value of community and working together. On the WeShareACommonThread.org website, community members can read about three worthy nonprofit organizations and then vote for the one they would most like to see us support. The charity with the most votes then receives a $1,500 donation from the Credit Union. Different charities are posted every quarter, so we encourage people to keep returning to WeShareACommonThread.org to help their favorites gain a much-needed donation. "We consider social responsibility to be an integral part of our overall mission," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "The Give a Click campaign allows us to help people in our region become more involved with their communities and with each other. We are pleased to help My Fathers House continue its important work." In this campaign, the organizations received very strong support from website visitors. When the campaign ended, My Fathers House received the most votes, while Sustainable Westford came in second, and Cor Unum came in third. Individuals are permitted to vote only once. The current "Give a Click" campaign is focused on another trio of nonprofit organizations in the region. The organizations vying for the next donation are: Lowell Association for the Blind, Power of Flowers, and Safely Off Streets (SOS) 4 Paws.
