Altura Credit Union Supports Local Breast Cancer Resource Center

Altura Pink ParadeRiverside, Calif. -�A team of 20 walkers from Altura Credit Union recently participated in "The Pink on Parade Walk" in Riverside to raise awareness of breast cancer and the need for early diagnosis. The team, led by Altura staffers Denise Hunt and Katherine Gonzalez, raised nearly $2,600.� All funds stay local, going to The Pink Ribbon Place, Riversides only breast cancer resource center. According to The Pink Ribbon Place, Riverside and San Bernardino counties have some of the highest mortality rates for breast cancer in Southern California. High mortality is often linked to late diagnosis. By hosting the Pink on Parade fundraising event, the center hopes to boost awareness and early detection of breast cancer while also raising funds to support its programs.
