Hopewell Federal Credit Union Awards $1,000 Scholarship to Local Student

Abby & NancyHEATH/NEWARK, OH Hopewell Federal Credit Union announced the winner of its $1000 scholarship.� This distinguished honor was awarded to Abigayle Paige Barker.� Abigayle, a recent graduate from Granville High School, will depart in the fall to attend Elon University in North Carolina.� This advanced athlete, who recently led her high school softball team to the state championship, will be playing collegiate level softball.�� Barker excels both academically and personally and has created a strong presence in the community.� Below are just a few of her accolades.� �������� She is active - An athlete involved with volleyball, basketball and softball. �������� She is a leader - President of the Varsity G Club, Member of Key Club and Student Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. �������� She is a volunteer - Working with children at the Granville Recreation Commission.� �������� She is intelligent - A member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Global Scholars Society James G.
