IC Federal Credit Union Awards Five Top Students with Scholarships

"How would you help the community in which you live?"
That is the question each applicant had to answer in 250 words or less for ICs annual scholarship program. "It is always a difficult decision to narrow down 5 top applicants out of the many entries received," said Tony Emerson, President & CEO of IC, "they all presented very well and have great insight for the future of our community. IC has been a vital part locally for over 85 years, and we believe strongly in helping our young people pursue their education&they are our future leaders," said Emerson.

Scoring criteria was weighted in three areas: grades 40%, essay 30% and extracurricular activities 30%. Each of the five finalists had a perfect score of 100% and received an award of $1,000! Congratulations!

IC would like to thank all of the applicants and congratulate the entire class of 2015 in our surrounding cities and towns! The awards were given at ICs annual meeting held on June 17th at the Double Tree Hilton in Leominster. Each year, IC Federal Credit Union offers their scholarship program to any college-bound senior, who is a Member or whose parent/guardian is a Member. Applications are available in February and winners are announced in June.
