Heart Walk 2015 groupFALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS - �The Annual Southern New England Heart Walk, the American Heart Associations main fundraising event, was held on Sunday, June 7th in Downtown Providence.� Once again this year St. Annes Credit Union employees formed a team to raise money and to participate in the walk.� This was the first year that the walk was held in Downtown Providence and it was an absolutely beautiful day for the thousands of attendees to try out the new route.� Starting at Station Park, participants walked the 3 mile route down one side of the Providence River and then back up to end where they began.� Also new this year the Heart Walk included a Kids Dash obstacle course for children ages 5-12 to take part in.� Three Credit Union employees and two of their family members made up this years Team St. Annes, participating in the walk and one of the younger members took part in the Kids Dash as well.� St. Annes employees were able to raise nearly $900 to support the American Heart Association, and all of the funds will go towards helping the AHA continue their lifesaving research and education in pursuit of "Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke".
