"Were excited to celebrate this milestone with members and friends throughout the community," said Darla Erb, Voyage Chief Executive Officer. In celebration of its 75th Anniversary, Voyage Federal Credit Union has engaged in a variety of campaigns to commemorate this milestone. The first was the "75 Day Diaper Drive", followed by the "75 Days of Fur" to benefit the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. Over the holidays, Voyage posted financial tips on its social media sites and blog for "75 Days of Financial Freedom". In the last and most comprehensive 75th event Voyage gave away $75 dollars for 75 Days. The last day of giving was to Feeding South Dakota at the Annual Meeting where members were asked to bring an item to donate. "It was nice to come full circle back to Feeding South Dakota where we originally donated diapers for the 74th anniversary meeting kicking off this epic year of giving," stated Erb. In addition to community involvement, Voyage FCU also encourages members to pursue additional education. The credit union awarded $1,500 in scholarships to both graduating high school seniors and undergraduate college students. The high school scholarship winners each received $500. We offer congratulations to the recipients of these scholarships -- Jamie Ann Smith and Jaedon Kroger. Voyage FCU scholarship program also offers one (1) scholarship of $500 to a member pursuing higher education, the Thomas Wolff Continuing Education Scholarship. Tom served on the credit union board for 10 years before unexpectedly passing away at the age of 53. With Toms passing, Voyage Federal Credit Union established a scholarship to help non-traditional students continue their education and pursue lifetime learning goals. Congratulations to our Thomas Wolff Continuing Education Scholarship recipient - Erin Running.
