CaptureFALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS, - April was National Credit Union Youth Month and St. Annes Credit Union was happy to take part in the nationwide initiative again this year and celebrate their younger members. The goal of Youth Month is to help kids learn about money management, saving, and start them on the path to financial literacy. The theme this year was "Wild About Saving" and credit unions across the country used the fun and excitement of the jungle to engage younger members and increase their awareness of their local credit unions. At St. Annes any child who made a deposit during April was entered into a raffle and asked to write down what they were saving for. St. Annes also held a coloring contest using jungle themed coloring pages, and a poster making contest encouraging children to create a poster about why they were saving their money. Nearly 60 children entered the raffles and contests, and 6 young St. Annes members were lucky enough to win a prize!
