Credit Union Foundation Donates Over $37,000 to Local Charities

associated credit union2Associated Credit Union Foundation Donated�more than�$37,000 to� three local charities in Georgia. � The Associated Credit Union Foundation��donated a combined $37,374 to the Norcross Co-op Ministry , Quinn House and Susan G. Komen For The Cure of Greater Atlanta. The Norcross Co-op Ministry, which received a gift of $15,000 helps to provide food, clothing, prescription medicine and financial assistance for those who may be in crisis.�The Co-op also hosts programs like, English for Speakers of Other Languages, job searches, case management and referrals to other service providers in the county. The donation will help over 100 families who are struggling to meet the basic needs of their families. The Quinn House received a $12,000 donation that will be used to provide housing for the homeless and provide drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs to any individual that needs help getting back on their feet and re-entering society.�The organization is also a licensed food bank that assists families and senior citizens who are in need. Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate is the local resource for women who need breast cancer screening, treatment, education and support. �They received a check for $10,374.� Through annual events, including the Race for the Cure, and individual contributions, Komen Atlanta raises funds that enable women to detect and survive breast cancer.
