Riverside, Calif. � Altura Credit Union recently sponsored a booth at a celebration of Cinco de Mayo Festival held in conjunction with the monthly Riverside Arts Walk in Riverside.
Ten Altura employees staffed the booth that featured craft project for kids in addition to giveaway items and info on the local credit union. About 4,000 people attended the event along Mission Inn Avenue in Riversides historic downtown.
Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexicos historic victory over the French Army in the Battle of Pueblo in 1862.� Historically, the victory is a source of pride, which today is a celebration of Mexican culture. Cinco de Mayo events are held throughout Southern California in early May.
