Alaska Credit Union League Helps Students Learn About Business

ACUL LogoAnchorage, AK �Last week, the Alaska Credit Union League presented a check to Alaska Business Week (ABW) for $15,500. This is the leagues sixth year of supporting ABW and has donated a total of $88,750 since 2010. Alaska Business Week is a one-week summer program teaching the basic principles of private sector business to Alaskan high school students. Participants live on a college campus, where they grow as leaders and are mentored by Alaskas business elite, while earning two college credits. The Anchorage Alaska Pacific University (APU) campus will be the site of this years event; early registration numbers have improved significantly over prior years, reflecting the popularity of this annual event. The Alaska Credit Union Leagues 41st Annual Meeting and Conference will take place in Juneau, Alaska, May 14-16, 2015. Over 100 credit union professionals are expected to attend, to network and learn best practices from nationally known credit union and cooperative experts in an effort to better serve credit union members and constituents across the state.
