First Community Credit Union Awards $17,000 in Scholarships

FCCU Scholarship WinnersJamestown, ND - First Community Credit Unions Board of Directors has once again awarded scholarships to first year college students from its membership. Last year, FCCU donated $1 million into a scholarship foundation to provide additional scholarship dollars to graduating high school students. We are honored to provide nine multi-year $1,000 scholarships to the following students to use toward their college academia: Kaytlyn Heick of Bismarck, Grace Schuler of Wishek, Austin Kelly of Oakes, Brenna Ketterling of Wishek, Bailey Bitz of Napoleon, Teagan Skunberg of Jamestown, Shaina Weigel of Kintyre, Brittany Roney of Oakes and Sarah Schauer of Valley City. In addition, we are honored to give eight additional single-year $1,000 scholarships to: Loren Sether of Bismarck, Kirstin Volk of Hazen, Madison Ryckman of Oakes, Breanna Roen of Fergus Falls, Cheyenne Hanson of Argusville, Quinn Vculek of Crete, Grady Mauch of Mooreton, and Elizabeth Brown of Wahpeton. FCCU will also be issuing eight second-year scholarships from last years winners at $1,000 each. Over the past 19 years, FCCU has given out more than $120,000 in scholarships. The Board of Directors recognizes the importance of young people getting a good education and wants to encourage young people to do their best. FCCU continues to do its part in providing incentives to help students reach their full potential. "FCCU would like to extend our congratulations to the winners of the 2015 First Community Credit Union Scholarship Foundation Program.
