1st Financial Federal Credit Union Donates $1000 to Missouri CU Charitable Foundation

downloadGive STL Day is a 24-hour giving event that gives St. Louisians the opportunity to donate to the nonprofits working on the causes that directly affect their community.� More than 790 nonprofit organizations have signed up to participate on May 5th 2015, including the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation or MCUCF. The MCUCF is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that supports educational and charitable opportunities for credit unions and the communities they serve.� Their efforts include:
  • Champions of Literacy- a program which supports financial literacy efforts throughout Missouri through High School Reality Fairs.
  • Support for Credit Unions-provides thousands of dollars in scholarships for training credit union professionals statewide.
  • CUAid- delivers financial assistance to areas affected by natural disasters.
  • Credit Unions for Kids-raises funds and promotes Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals throughout Missouri.
1st Financial Federal Credit Union is donating $1000 to the MCUCF so these vital services remain available to the citizens of Missouri.� In order to further help the MCUCF, 1st Financial is asking area credit unions to also pledge a $1000 donation to the MCUCF on May 5th. "We are proud to support MCUCF," said Michelle Rosner, Chief Lending Officer for 1st Financial Federal Credit Union.� "Our donation will help MCUCF continue to offer financial education programs to high school students, provide scholarships to smaller credit unions and offer support for credit union community development programs throughout the state of Missouri."
