Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union Supports Financial Literacy for Kids

PrintEnfield, CT �The Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union (TVTFCU), located at 182 South Road in Enfield, celebrated National Credit Union Youth Month in April for its youth members. The credit union participates in this youth financial literacy effort each year as a way to assist in teaching the importance of money management skills. This years theme was, "Wild About Saving." Youth members received a money skills booklet, stickers, financial activity sheets and prizes. �They also had a special visit from Rocky the Rock Cat, the mascot for the New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Team. A Coin Drive was sponsored through the "Credit Union for Kids" fundraising effort to benefit the CT Childrens Medical Center/Childrens Miracle Network. "We are so pleased to celebrate youth month each year. Its a great opportunity for our youth members to come into the credit union and learn about saving their money. We always try to make it fun as well as educational. Wed like to send out a big thank you to all of our members and staff that donated to our Coin Drive. We appreciate your support of this worthy cause," said Myrijam Meserve, CEO/Manager of the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union.
