Hanscom Federal Credit Union Brings Thousands of Books to Children in Need

Hanscom AFB, Mass. � Hanscom FCU proudly contributed 2,222 books to the Cooperative Credit Union Associations book drive. The books will be distributed by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless to benefit kids in shelters, hospitals and other non-profits throughout Massachusetts. This is the 15th year Hanscom FCU has participated. As in past years, the Hanscom Air Force Base thrift shop contributed childrens books donated by patrons. "Our staff and members look forward to the book drive every year," said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. "By providing books for young people, they are giving a gift that lasts a lifetime. I couldnt be prouder of them for it." Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., serves 56,915 members across the country and overseas through 17 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch. The credit union holds over $1 billion in assets.
