Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union Hosts Free Shred Day

CaptureAustin, TX Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) hosted a free Shred Day Event in Austin, Texas at the Airport Blvd. location on Saturday, April 25, 2015. This was the first time a shred day was held at this location and the whole community was encouraged to come out and shred their personal and confidential documents for free, including bank statements, invoices, contracts and tax returns. Over 68 cars attended and more than 4,000 pounds of paper were shredded and recycled by Shred-it on-site. Many attendees appreciated the ability to see their documents shredded in front of them and said that it made them feel �better about participating in the event. GTFCU has shred day events across the state year-round, and has already hosted them at the Manor, Cedar Park and San Antonio locations this year. Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union currently has 18 branches across the state of Texas and is known as Aggieland Credit Union in the Brazos Valley.
